Electoral rolls revision for Andaman to be ready by Sept 15

Port Blair, Aug 13 (UNI) The process of electoral rolls revision for the Andaman and Nicobar Parliamentary Constituency has commenced with the draft publication of the photo electoral rolls on August 8.

Andaman administration is entertaining the filing of claims and objections and it will continue up to August 22, an official release said today.

''Administration has kept August 16 as special campaign date, disposal of claims and objections will be done on August 30, preparation and printing of supplements will be taken up on September 10 and the final publication of electoral rolls will be done on September 15,'' the release added.

Besides, with a view to undertaking the work of revision of electoral rolls, the government officials working at various places have been appointed as designated Officers in respect of different tehsils.
