Dell to launch 25 laptops by year-end
New Delhi, Aug 13: With notebooks driving the sales and becoming the preference over desktops globally, Dell Inc on Wednesday, Aug 13 said it will launch 25 notebooks by year-end.
''We will launch 25 notebooks by year-end, 10 of which have been announced,'' company President (APACS) Paul-Henri Ferrand told reporters here. Michael Dell announced the global launch of the Latitude E-series of laptops here on Wednesday, Aug 13. The series has seven models in the E-series and boasts of running for as long as 19 hours on a single charge. E4200 is the lightest laptop (0.99 kgs) with a 12.1-inch screen and the E4300 weighs 1.4 kgs. Both the models will be available from September, but the prices were not available.
The E6400, E6500, E5400, E550 and E6400 ATG are available at Rs 54,990, Rs 55,990, Rs 46,900, Rs 48,990 and Rs 69,990 respectively. The laptops will be manufactured at its Sriperumbudur plant near Chennai. The plant currently has a capacity of one million units annually.
