Congress stand on Jharkhand unclear
New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) In a clear indication that it would adopt a wait-and-see policy in Jharkhand, the Congress today sought to remain non-committal on the demand for change of guard in the state.
Anybody who has required numbers is entitled to stake claim,'' AICC Spokesman Abishek Manu Singhvi told mediapersons, while not giving a straight answer to the question if the Congress would support the claim of JMM Chief Shibu Soren to form the next government in Jharkhand, replacing Chief Minister Madhu Koda.
''In a democracy, we can only play according to rules laid down by the democratic set-up within the framework of Constitution,'' he said.
