Combined Defence Services Examination results declared
New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) A total of 395 candidates have qualified in the 2007 Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II) for Defence training, the results of which were declared today.
These include 336 candidates for admission to the Officers Training Academy, Chennai and the 88th Short Service Commission Course (SSC) for men.
Fifty-nine candidates are for admission to the 2nd SSC Course for women (Non-Technical).
The list of the 88th SSC Course (for men) also includes the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of results of the same examination for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Goa Course and Air force academy, Hyderabad Course.
The courses will commence in October.
''On the basis of the result of the Combined Defence Services Examination-(II), 2007, held by the Union Public Service Commission, and interview conducted by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence, 395 candidates have finally qualified,'' an official spokesman said here today.
The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government for Short Service Commission Course (for Men) is 175 and for (II) 2nd Short Service Commission for women (Non- Technical) Course is 15. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional.
