CM takes up pending projects' issue with Union ministers

Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, during his visit to Delhi, met Union Ministers Praful Patel, Lalu Prasad and Murli Deora, to take up the state's pending projects with them.

Mr Deshmukh had a detailed meeting with the Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel and highlighted the necessity of building internal air-traffic system to boost up the industrial development in the state.

He also spoke about the willingness shown by some Private Air Companies to provide the required services. There are some cities from where the inflow of air traffic can be started within a short span of time and for this, Mr Deshmukh urged the Minister to give suitable instructions to the Directorate of Civil Aviation for removing minor technical hurdles and providing necessary machinery.

In a meeting held with the Union Minister for Railways Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Chief Minister urged the Minister to commission the Passenger Services with immediate effect on the newly completed rail lines. Works on railway lines between Latur-Mumbai, Hingoli-Akola, Osmanabad-Hyderabad have already been completed and bogies are also available.

People of the concerned areas are pressing for the commencement of rail services, and so he requested the Minister to inaugurate these rail lines.

To increase the supply of Natural Gas for the Dabhol and Uran Power Projects in the State, the Chief Minister had a detailed meeting with the Union Minister for Petroleum, Murli Deora.
