Southwest monsoon was vigorous over South Interior Karnataka and active over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Very Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Gerusoppa 21; Bhatkal, Shirali, Tyagarthi 20 each; Kottigehara, Mudigere 19 each; Sringeri, Jayapura 18 each; Puttur, Bhagamandala 17 each; Honavar 16; Subramanya 15; Bantwal, Kollur, Kumta, Jagalbet, Linganamakki, Hosanagar, Kammardi 14 each; Mani, Dharmasthala, Sagar, Talaguppa, Koppa, Balehonnur, Sakleshpura 13 each.
Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Karkala, Siddapura, Ankola 12 each; Mangalore, Mudibidre, Yellapura, Madikeri, Thirthahalli 11 each; Mulki, Siddapura 10 eahc; N.R.Pura 9; Bajpe, Kundapur, Virajpet, Arasalu 8 each; Panambur, Sulya, Kota, Karwar, Haliyal, Humchadakatte 7.
