6 killed, 30 injured as building caves-in
Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) At least six people, including two women and as many children, were killed and 30 others injured when a portion of a three-storeyed Dutta building in South Central Mumbai collapsed today.
At around 0600 hrs, a portion of a 70-year-old building located at Kubharwada in Bhendi Bazar area caved-in, sources said.
There were 14 families in the building, they added.
Among those killed were four members of one Narendra Chaurasia family. Others are yet to be identified, according to sources in disaster control room of the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation).
The injured have been admitted to the J J Hospital.
