135 pilgrims leave for Amarnath yatra
Jammu, Aug 13 (UNI) A fresh batch of pilgrims today left for Amarnath cave shrine amid tight security cover from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp here, official sources said.
''The batch comprising 135 pilgrims including 38 male, four females, three children and 90 sadhus left for the holy cave shrine in three buses,'' the sources told UNI.
Earlier, the yatra remained suspended for two days due to inclement weather in Pahalgam and Baltal areas enroute the Amarnath shrine and landslides near Ramban on Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
The two-month long Amarnath yatra, which commenced on June 17, will conclude on August 16 and the last batch of pilgrims will leave tomorrow, the sources added.
