Three people detained at Jeddah Airport :Maria

Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) The city police is in touch with Jeddah airport authorities to ascertain the identities of three people detained by them.

Without revealing details, Joint Commissioner of Police Rakesh Maria told newsmen here today that they had received information three people were detained by Jeddah Airport authorities.

When asked about media reports that among those detained included Anees Ibrahim, brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, He said the identities of those detained was being ascertained. 'We only know three people have been detained.' Replying to another query, Mr Maria, who was investigating officer of 1993 serial blasts, replied in affirmative and said Anees was one of the main conspiractors. He had played a vital role in smuggling of explosives used in the blast to Mumbai.
