Teacher held for molesting student in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 12: A 42-year-old teacher was arrested by the police on a charge of molesting a minor girl student at Kurar village in North Mumbai.

U B Shangave, a teacher of Anudutt High School, was arrested by Kurar village police last night, police said today.

Shangave had called a 14-year-old girl student on the pretext of teaching her maths at his residence, where he allegedly molested her.

On her return, the victim narrated the whole incident to her mother, who took her to police station and lodged a complaint.

Following which, Shangave was arrested, the sources said, adding, he will be produced in Borivali court for remand later in the day.
