TCS to help NCAOR in creating marine geophysical database
Kolkata, Aug 12 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is set to undertake a comprehensive marine geophysical data acquisition programme for the Antarctic region.
The study is a part of national project to understand the marine ecosystem and provide scientific data on global changes in weather and environment.
The IT giant, hired by the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) on behalf of the ministry of Earth sciences will use its expertise in providing the outputs of scientific models through web interfaces and enable scientific organisations to retrieve the data for interpretation and developing modules pertaining to their field of expertise.
The model is replicable for all countries having marine Geo-physical databases, a TCS release said today.
