Bihar identyfing kids for enrolment in schools
Patna, Aug 12: In an attempt to enrol children in the age group of 6-14 years to school, Bihar government has joined hands with the UNICEF and NGOs and has launched a special drive in 17 districts.
Sources at the state Human Resources Department said on Tuesday, Aug 12 that the NGOs have been entrusted with the responsibility of identifying kids for their enrolment.
Educated dalit youths have been engaged to teach the students, the sources said, adding that the members engaged for the task have been asked to keep a close watch on the daily attendance of the children.
The drive, which has been launched in 17 districts of the state so far, would be further extended in order to ensure education for each and every child, the sources added.
