Six drowns in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Aug 12 (UNI) Six persons, including four children, drowned in Jaisalmer and Chittorgarh district today, police sources said.
While four children aged between 10 and 17 years drowned at two places in jaisalmer district two will washed away in the Brahmini river in Chittorgarh district.
Three children were trapped in a rainwater filled pit in the Chhaibo-ki-dhani near phalsund town, while they were taking bath this afternoon. Villagers later retrieved their bodies.
A 17-year-old child from Banaskantha district in Gujarat drowned in the Ramdesar pond in the Pokaran region. The deceased had come to pay obiesance at the Ramdevra shrine, the sources said.
In another incident, Buhana(38) and his wife Shankari(30) ere swept away by strong current in the Brahmini river near Dhangad Mau village in Chittorgarh district this afternoon while they were trying to cross the river.
The body of the woman was later recovered from Anicut about four kms away, while her husband's body was still missing.
