Punjab gives Rs 50,000 aid to Bhag Singh

Chandigarh, Aug 12 (UNI) The Punjab Government today gave a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to dramatist and Punjabi film artist Bhag Singh, who has not been keeping good health over last few years.

Information and Public Relations Director Tejveer Singh presented a cheque to his wife Ms Kamla Bhag Singh on behalf of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

Mr Bhag Singh was given the assistence in recognisition of the excellent services rendered by him in the field of Punjabi theatre and films.

In March, the government had given him Rs 1 lakh for his medical treatment.
