Plane flown by MP CS' son veers off flight path

Bhopal, Aug 12 (UNI) A training plane being flown by Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni's son Shameem landed here safely at about 1500 hrs after deviating from its flight path following take-off from here at about 1145 hrs today.

Shameem is undergoing training at the local Flying Club and has about 170 flying hours to his credit.

Official sources said that the plane circled neighbouring Rajgarh district's Bioara town for about an hour after losing contact with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower here. Police officers immediately alerted ATC and Bhopal Police.

The administration became active after Shameem used his cellphone to convey details of the situation. A plane was sent from here, aerial contact established with Shameem and his plane was guided back here.

The Madhya Pradesh Flying Club, which offers training here and at Indore, has six planes.
