Panchyat Raj minister inspects rain affected areas

Kakinada, Aug 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Minister and East Godavari district incharge J C Diwakara Reddy today toured in Thallarevu constituency inspecting the rain affected areas, including the submerged paddy fields.

He told newsmen that there would be no loss to the paddy crop, if the inundated fields were cleared of water within a couple of days or else the state government would arrange assistance to the farmers by supplying required seeds on subsidy.

District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, R D O Kishore Kumar, Joint Director Agriculture T Nandaiah and Irrigation engineers accompanied the Minister.
