Over 100 cases of Diarrhoea reported in Batyar
Shimla, Aug 12 (UNI) About 100 cases of Diarrhoea have been reported in Batyar of Rohru subdivision in this district since August 8, Chief Medical Officer B R Arya said here today.
He said that a survey conducted by the health department in the affected area found that the sitution had worsened after people consumed contaminated food and water in local Laila village fair in Batyar.
He said that since August 8, five to six cases are reported daily in the area. However, no casuality has been reported till now.
The department has sent a medical team and sample of contaminated water also taken for investigation purpose.
The department is distributing chlorine tablets in the area to control the epidemic.
