Man commits suicide, 2 drown in rescue attempt
Azamgarh, Aug 12 (UNI) A man committed suicide by jumping into a pond even as two women drowned in a bid to rescue him in sidhari area here, police said today.
The incident was reported from Saraisadi village, where Ram Pravesh (25) left his house after having an altercation with his wife Sunita (23) late last night, they said.
Ram jumped into the pond after the altercation.
Later, to save him his wife and sister Maya Devi also jumped into the pond, but drowned, they said.
The bodies have been fished out and sent for post-mortem.
