Karnataka to get 'Partner State' status at India Show
New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) Karnataka would be the 'Partner State' at the India Show at Santiago, Chile and the Buyers and Sellers meet at Lima in Peru to be held in March 2009.
A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed by Karnataka Principal Secretary, Commerce and Industries, V Umesh on behalf of Government of Karnataka and Executive Director of the ITPO, Rajiv Yadav in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and a few of his colleagues in Karnataka Bhavan.
The India Show will take place during March 18 to 21 in Santiago and in Lima between March 24 and 25, 2009 and name of Karnataka and its logo will be used for all publicity purposes in both the events while the MOU will be valid for one year from today.
The MOU will help both trade and industry in Karnatak to boost their domestic and international trade, particularly in the Latin American region, Mr Umesh said after signing the agreement.
