Groundnutseed, its oil rise: RBD Palmolein declines

Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil today rose on speculative demand by stockists while RBD Palmolien declined on poor demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oil (10 kgs), groundnut oil edged up by Rs 15 per ten kg on better buying support.

Castor comm and kandla declined by Rs 8 and Rs 11 per 10 kgs respectively. RBD Palmolein was also down by Rs 15 per ten kg on poor demand from stockists, traders said.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnutseed rose by Rs 75 on fresh demand by bulk consumers, while javas 60/70 and javas 70/80 was down by Rs 50 and Rs 100 per quintal respeectively on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists. Nigerseed also eased by Rs 50 per quintal.

In De-oiled cakes, undec cottonseed fell by Rs 300 per metric tonne on poor offtake, while other cakes remained steady on moderate demand, traders added.
