DAVP advertisement rates in for changes: Dasmunsi
New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) In view of a rise in newsprint prices and the subsequent problems being faced by the newspaper industry, Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunsi today said necessary changes would be made in DAVP advertisement rates.
Policy guidelines could be effected within a fortnight, he said.
He said he was aware of the need for an upward revision of advertisement rates of DAVP and was in the process of consultations with the stakeholders to give a final shape to the measures for providing relief to the newspaper industry.
''It is expected that necessary changes in the DAVP Advertisement Rates policy guidelines could be effected within a fortnight,'' Mr Dasmunsi said in a statement.
