The church that sees all its vicars split from their wives!
London, Aug 12 : Split between a Reverend and his wife has left churchgoers stunned - as this is the fourth time that a vicar has fallen victim to a divorce.
Rev Darren Moore revealed the news of the split from the pulpit, announcing that his wife Linda had walked out after 12 years of marriage.
But this is not the first time that the congregation at St Wilfred's in Brayton, near Selby, North Yorks, has witnessed the breaking up of their vicar's marriage.
A similar episode had taken place in 1998 when the previous vicar the Rev David Reynolds' wife Christine fell for chorister Cliff Broadhead.
Just two years before that the Rev Ron Mitchinson left wife Freda for Diana Hancox, 20 years his junior.
And in 1992 ex-rector the Rev Bob Rogers' wife Wendy left him for chorister Neil Salisbury.
"It's almost as if the clergy should receive a health warning before taking over in Brayton," the Sun quoted one churchgoer as saying.
Rev Moore, 38, added: "I don't believe the church or rectory are cursed, although God does move in mysterious ways."
No one else is involved in the latest split.
