Bollywood superstars hail Abhinav Bindra on his achievement

Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan today congratulated ace shooter Abhinav Bindra on bagging the first individual Gold for India at the Beijing Olympics.

''Nothing will be able to top the glory that Bindra has brought to the heart of every Indian. We are so proud of you and so delighted to have made every Indian walk a little taller! Thank you Abhinav, and more glory and success to you,'' Amitabh said, writing on his blog.

''It is after almost a century and two billion births that an Indian has won his first individual gold at the Olympics,'' he said.

Aamir Khan said it was a thrilling moment when Bindra went up to receive the Gold medal.

''What a moment. He has done India proud and given us a moment to celebrate,'' the actor wrote on his blog.

''Well done boy and thank you for bringing us glory and joy,'' he added.
