188 cross border at Chakkan-Da-Bagh on LoC
Jammu, Aug 12 (UNI) A total of 188 passengers crossed sides at the Chakkan-da-Bagh on the Line of Control (LoC) point in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.
''Out of the total number of passengers, 95 people crossed into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) from this side after the LoC point was thrown open by the authorities yesterday morning,'' official sources told UNI.
''A total of 93 people came to this side of the border from the PoK side, including 57 Pak residents visiting for the first time to meet their relatives and 36 Indian residents, who returned after staying in PoK,'' sources added.
Meanwhile, official authorities were also deployed on LoC to facilitate the passengers while crossing the border, sources maintained.
