VHP to hold demos on various issues: Singhal
Coimbatore, Aug 11 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International President Ashok Singhal today announced intensive combined agitations on issues like declaration of Ram Setu as monument, construction of Ram Temple, restoration of Amarnath Land and autonomy for the shrine board, before the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing a joint press conference with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) State President R V S Marimuthu here, he said the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) should be made autonomous with the government not interfering in its affairs.
Mr Singhal said if the government did not restore the 40-acre land to SASB, the entire country will witness a mass Hindu movement.
All Hindu outfits in the country would join the agitation call given by the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti to hold a two- hour ''Chakka Jam'' (Road Roko) on August 13 to show solidarity with the movement.
To a question, the VHP leader said they would ensure the construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya by law in Parliament after the next Lok Sabha elections.
