Two TTD staff arrested for theft
Tirumala, Aug 11 (UNI) About Rs 10 lakh worth gold ornaments belonging to a newly-wedded couple were found missing from a guest house here today.
On complaint by the couple, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) vigilance officials have arrested two TTD employees -- forest department staff K Raghunadh Reddy and store keeper Bhaskar Rao.
The two were handed over to the Tirumala police.
Meanwhile, TTD employee union leaders alleged that the vigilance officials were wrongly implicating the TTD staff, who were not responsible for the theft.
''The deputation officers were creating problems in the TTD and trying to defame the administration,'' they alleged.
