Two burnt alive as trawler overturns
Sangrur, Aug 11 (UNI) Two people were burnt to death while another sustained serious burns after a trawler overturned and then caught fire between Channo and Simarwal village under the Bhawanigarh police station today.
According to police sources, the mishap occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into a roadside ditch. The trawler immediately caught fire as a result of which two people were burnt alive while driver, Karamjit Singh who received serious burn injuries was rescued by villagers.
One of the deceased was Ajmer Singh, father of the driver while the other was yet to be identifed. The injured driver was refered to the Rajindera hospital at Patiala.
