RJD rubbishes blames on Lalu on land grabbing

Patna, Aug 11 (UNI) The RJD today alleged that the Nitish Kumar government had planted a concocted story in a news channel on Railway Minister Lalu Prasad grabbing land from aspirants of jobs in Railways.

Party's national spokesperson Shyam Rajak told newspersons here that shaken by the growing popularity of Mr Prasad, the Nitish Kumar government had planted baseless stories to tarnish his clean image.

'' None was aware that such story on Mr Prasad was to be aired on the news channel, '' Mr Rajak said, adding a few JD(U) leaders had prior information of it. They made telephone calls to newspaper offices and requested them to carry it as well, according to him.

'' The facts presented about Mr Prasad on his alleged grabbing of land to provide jobs to the aspirants were baseless and far from the reality, '' Mr Rajak reiterated.
