Patil releases biography of BSF founder Rustamji
New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Home Minister Shivraj Patil released the biography of Border Security Force founding father K F Rustamji at a function here this evening.
Written by BSF IG (Retd) V K Gaur, the book is based on Rustamji's personal diary, contemporary documents and interviews of officers who served under him.
Mr Patil while releasing the book said Rustamji, who was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1971 and Padma Vibhushan in 1991 for his outstanding contribution in various fields, was a man of vision and brilliance and has seen the BSF grown into a force capable of countering both external and internal threats.
In his welcome address BSF Director General A K Mitra said the biography of Rustamji will inspire not only personnel of his force but also outside it.
