One more succumbs to malaria, toll reaches 84
Mumbai, Aug 11 (UNI) One more person succumbed to malaria in the metropolis at KEM hospital today, taking the death toll due to rain related diseases to 84, since the onset of monsoon this year.
Over the weekend, six people died due to malaria, two due to leptospirosis and two due to fever, civic officials said.
In the last 24 hours, 89 people were admitted for fever, 94 for malaria, 16 for leptospirosis and four for dengue in various civic-run hospitals of the city, the officials added.
