Hooda hopeful about lifting of ban on PUSA 1121 paddy

Chandigarh, Aug 11 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said he was hopeful about the Centre lifting the ban on export of PUSA 1121 variety of paddy.

The Chief Minister, who was interacting with media persons after the swearing-in ceremony of four new members of the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) here, was asked about the outcome of his request to lift ban on export of this variety of paddy.

Mr Hooda had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Union Commerce Minister Kamal Nath to urge them to lift ban on export of PUSA 1121 variety of paddy.
