Govt approves 10 national highways projects
New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) The government today announced approval of ten national highways projects worth Rs 10,507.22 crore under public private partnership.
The projects are located in eight states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Kerala, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand, Finance ministry said in a statement.
The Finance Secretary-headed public private partnership appraisal committee, which cleared the projects, said it has so far granted approval to 65 projects valued at Rs 53,284.95 crore since its inception in January 2006. These includes 56 highways, six sea ports, two airports and one project of tourism infrastructure, the statement added.
