Coastal Andhra Pradesh receives excess rainfall: CM
Vijayawada, Aug 11 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy tonight said the Coastal Andhra Pradesh in this whole seasion has received 440 MM of rainfall as against normal rainfall of 335 MM, an additional increase of 31 per cent.
Informing this at a press conference at Gannavaram Airport near here, he said Prakasam district received the highest rainfall in the seasion while Nellore received less than normal rainfall.
Speaking about Telangana district, he said no district had received lesser rainfall as it received 513 MM of rainfall as against 438 MM where an additional rainfall of 17 per cent was recorded.
On Rayalaseema, the Chier Minister said the district received only 152 MM of rainfall as against 208 MM, which is less by 27 per cent.
Chittoor, Nellore, Cuddapah received very less rainfall in this rainy seasion, he added.
