3 labourers killed in steel plant
Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, Aug 11 (UNI) Three labourers were crushed under a limestone-laden trolley in Jindal Steel and Power Limited steel plant here today, police said.
The labourers were seriously injured in the mishap this morning and were rushed to the hospital where they were declared dead.
Meanwhile, Jindal Steel Spokesperson Sanjeev Chouhan confirmed only two deaths. He said one labourer was injured in the accident.
The compensation of Rs five lakh was approved to the families of deceased, while Rs 25,000 was approved as immediate relief to the to all the three families.
''Pension will be given to the victims' families as per their financial condition by the company's Employees Welfare Fund,'' he added.
