Schools closed in Bhiwani distt due to floods
Bhiwani, Aug 10 (UNI) All government and private schools and colleges in the district will remain closed till August 12, due to flooding of certain areas following heavy rains, a release issued by the Deputy Commissioner's office today stated.
Meanwhile, the state Health Department has constituted as many as 20 teams to provide medical help to the flood-affected residents of the town.
The teams would medically examine every resident of the town.
Particular stress would be laid in Jalan Chowk, Shiv Nagar, Ram Nagar colony, labour colony, Kanhi Ram Hospital, Shastri Nagar, Jagat colony, Udham Nagar, Hanuman Gate, Valmiki Basti, MC Colony and Hanuman Dhani, which were the worst hit areas. The residents had been advised to take boiled water and take care of their eyes.
Senior officers of the District Administration have been directed to deploy 10 to 15 Safai Karamchari to clear the garbage from the streets. The local town officials have been directed to take immediate steps to drain out the water from localities in the town.
