Police held gang with contraband Ganja

Chennai, Aug 10 (UNI) The city police today arrested a three-member gang, engaged in the sale of Ganja and seized three kgs of the contraband and a cash of Rs one lakh.

A police team was checking the vehicles this morning, when it intercepted a luxury car and found the trio inside it, with some empty gunny bags.

After a search, police found a bag, containing three kgs of Ganja and Rs one lakh in cash.

Interrogation revealed that the trio-Jayapal (24), Ratheev (22) and Dowlath (43), hailing from Theni district, came to the city to sell Ganja.

They were proceeding to Ashok Nagar to handover the contraband to their contact, when police intercepted them.
