Mutt head to attend meet at London

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 10 (UNI) The 292nd pontiff of Shrilasri Arunagirinatha Ganasambatha Desika paramacharya swamigal of Madurai Adheenam will leave for London on August 21, from Chennai to attend the two day Saiva Sidhantha Conference to be held at Wimbledon on August 23 and 24.

The swamigal told newsmen here today, he felt it was an honour for him as well as the mutt, for extending invitation to him to speak about the Saiva sidhantha and its importance.

He said this would be the third abroad trip for him and he had already visited London, USA, China, Hongkong, Malaysia and Singapore in 1984 and 1987.

Earlier, addressing the members of the Saiva Perumakkal Peravai, the Swamigal underlined the need for adopting vegetarian food habit, instead of non vegetarian stuff.

He also observed that though there was money and manpower, the God power only would give success in any one's life, and called upon the people to involve themselves in the prayers to lord.
