Medical shop owner hacked to death
Chennai, Aug 10 (UNI) A medical shop owner was hacked to death in front of the shop at Radhakrishnan Salai in the city, last night.
The shop owner Baskara Pandian (38) was standing in front of the shop after closing the shop at 2215 hrs last night, when an unidenfied gang hacked him to death.
The gang members pulled down a name board and when Pandian bent down to set right the board, they hacked him indiscriminately, killing him on the spot.
Police said Pandian had a dispute with his neighbour over disposing off a property and this could be the motive behind the murder.
After the murder, neighbour Gururaj Singh has gone underground and a special team has been formed to trace him, police said. Police interrogated Singh's wife, daughter and car driver.
