Illicit liquor worth Rs four lakhs seized

Mysore, Aug 10 (UNI) State Excise vigilance squad sleuths raided a house in the outskirts of the city seized illicit liquor worth about Rs 4 lakhs today.

Excise department officials said that 17 cases of illicit liquor, 50 cases of empty liquor bottles, 300 liters of processed alcohol, 350 liters of spirit, cork and labels of famous brands and a car used for transportation were seized during the raid.

Two people, who had indulged in illegally manufacturing the illicit liquor escaped on seeing the police.
