Two killed in group clash in Gulbarga
Gulbarga, Aug 9: Two people were hacked to death and four others were injured when two groups clashed at Ganagapur in Afzalpur taluk of this district last night, police said on Saturday, Aug 9.
Police said a rival group attacked the two men with country-made pistols, swords and knives. The rivals first opened fire at them and then hacked them with swords. The victims were identified as Sattappa (20) and Basavaraj (30). Their bodies were sent to Government General Hospital in Gulbarga while the injured were admitted to another hospital. IGP K V Gagandeep and SP Devajyoti visited the spot.
The state Reserve Police were deployed in the village to bring the situation under control. Previous enmity was said to be the reason behind the attack, police said.
