PDP condemns police and CRPF action in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Aug 9 (UNI) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today condemned the alleged use of force by security forces against peaceful demonstrators in Anantnag last night.
The PDP youth wing president Sayed Basharat Bukhari and General secretary Bashir Assad in a joint statement alleged that police and CRPF personnel forcibly entered the houses at Nai Basti, Qazi Mohalla, Rishi Bazar, Chini Chowk and Batpora in Anantnag and damaged the house-holds and beat up the inmates.
They said police also used force against the peaceful demonstrators who were protesting the road blockade and attack on Muslims, Kashmiri drivers and others in Jammu.
The PDP leaders said small children and women were also not spared by the security forces and police.
Meanwhile, they also expressed deep concern over the shortage of essential commodities and life saving drugs in the valley and in some parts of Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch and other areas in Jammu.
