OBCs suffering in BJP ruled Rajasthan: Lenka

Jaipur, Aug 9 (UNI) The BJP-led government in Rajasthan was 'apathetic' towards the Other Backward Classes(OBCs) and they were suffering the most in the state, said Congress OBCs national president and former Union Minister C K Lenka.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Lenka said the Centre has been providing funds to the Rajasthan OBC Financial Corporation, for providing loans to the needy for self-employment and other welfare projects but the state government had not extended the benefits of loans to them.

He said the State government has done nothing to prevent atrocities against the OBCs and failed to keep its commitment made in the last Assembly election in the state.

The OBC's, Dalits and ST's were all unhappy with the present government and they would defeat the ruling BJP in the Assembly Elections due to be held in November this year, he added.

Mr Lenka was in town to address a congregation of OBC's organised by the Congess OBC's cell at the party state headquarters.
