Migrant labourer commits suicide
Kapurthala, Aug 9 (UNI) Body a young migrant labourer working in a factory here was today found hanging from a shed of the factory.
According to police soures, the 18-year-old labourer, Rakesh Kumar, had allegedly committed suicide last night. This morning, when workers of the factory came to resume work, his body was found hanging from a shed of the factory.
The reason behind the extreme step could not be ascertained so far as no suicide note was found from the spot, the sources said.
Police has registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and his body has been sent for the postmortem.
In another incident, a 28-year-old man, Devinder Kumar, a shopkeeper in Bishanpur Raiana village near here, allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in his house last night.
According to the deceased's wife, Kamaljit Kaur, he was under depression because of his prolonged illness.
