Labourer dies in Tata's Singur project
Singur, Aug 9(UNI) A worker died on the spot today after falling from a height of 50 ft in the Tata's Singur project.
OC Singur Priyabrata Bakshi said the incident happened at 1630 hrs when Ram Prasad Ghosh(42) was coming down.
Ghosh, who worked in the welding department, was not a direct staff of the Tatas but a contract worker under a private contractor.
He was a resident of Hariharpur village under Dhubulia Police Station in Nadia district.
Police has sent the body to Srirampore hospital for most mortem.
