Four people killed in road accident
Belgaum, Aug 9 (UNI) Four people, including a young woman, were killed and four others injured when a state transport corporation bus car collided head-on with a car on the outskirts of Kittur town in this district today.
Police said the accident took place on a blind curve that connects the town to the National Highway-four, which had been a accident-prone zone. Though an alternative route had been provided, drivers used this short-cut.
While three people died on the spot, another died in hospital.
The injured had been admitted to a hospital here. The injured included a tea-vendor, who was sitting in his shop near the accident spot.
The deceased were identified as Anusha Amrit Joshi (19), Paraful Inamdar (45), Hanag Anant Joshi (54) and the driver of the car Rajaram Khade (30).
