Ban on 'freedom parade' sought
Pudukkottai, Aug 9 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today urged the State Government to ban the proposed 'freedom parade,' announced by Popular Front of India of Manitha Neethi Pasarai (MNP) at Madurai on August 15.
In a statement here, VHP State Convenor Kanagaraj said parades on Independence Day were organised only by the respective State Governments and their institutions. Organising parade by any other outfit was against convention, he claimed.
