14 get life term in murder case
Jehanabad, Aug 9 (UNI) A local fast track court today sentenced 14 people to life imprisonment in connection with murder of one Nageshwar Mochi on May 14,1990 at Dharaut village under Makhdumpur police station in the district.
Fast track court Judge Ram Lakhan Yadav, after hearing both prosecution and defence, found all the 14 accused guilty of battering Nageshwar Mochi to death and sentenced all of them to life imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, Nageshwar Mochi was kidnapped and beaten to death by a group of co-villagers.
Later, his body was found abandoned in a drain.
The crime was seen as a retaliation to the killing of one Ram Ishwar Paswan of the neighbouring Aripur village under the same police station area.
