12 get life term in Bihar
Patna, Aug 08: 12 people were scentenced life imprisonment on Saturday, Aug 9 in seprate murder cases at Madhepura and Gopalganj districts.
Justice S S Giri of fast track court sentenced eight people to life imprisonment after they were found guilty in a case related to the killing of former Mukhiya Satyanarayan Yadav.
According to the charges, all the eight convicts were involved in the killing of Mr Yadav. He was shot dead at Raibhir village under Shankarpur police station area in Medhepura district on October 10, 2006.
In another case, four people were awarded life imprisonment by a fast track court for murder at Gopalganj district.
Fast track judge Kiran Shankar awarded them lifer after they were found guilty of killing a Chokidar.
According to the charges, all the four convicts were involved in the killing at Balepur village under Phulwaria police station in Goplaganj district on August 12, 2005.
