'Time frame not definite for Third Front'

Indore, Aug 8: Communist Party of India (Marxist) Polit Bureau Member Sitaram Yechury on Thursday, Aug 7 said that ten political parties were initiating a countrywide campaign with the objective of forming a 'third alternative' on policy basis and generating awareness.

''The formation's time-frame is not yet definite. Besides Left parties, the Bahujan Samaj Party, Telugu Desham Party and Janata Dal (Secular) are among the ten. An agitation will take place against liberalisation, communalism and imperialism. Prices are rising and farmers committing suicide,'' he said at a meet-the-press programme here.
