Two jawans killed in encounter with naxals in Giridih

Giridih, Aug 8 (UNI) Two jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in an encounter with CPI (Maoist) ultras near Laxmantunda under Nimiaghat police station in this district.

Police said here today that the rebels fired indiscriminately on the team of security forces, which was on routine patrolling in the area late last night.

Two jawans received bullet injuries on their head and chest and both of them succumbed to their wounds on way to hospital, police said.

One of the victims was identified as Vijendra Singh.
